TEACHER TRAINING

“La Academia de Inglés” has been functioning since 1980. During this long period of time we have been acquiring a great deal of experience in the teaching of all age groups-young learners (starting at the age of 3), teenagers and adults.
We have also been exposed to general English as well as all areas of E.S.P., both in groups and on a one-to-one basis.

• Teacher´s responsibilities vs Students responsibilities.

Duration: 120 hours of classroom training.

a) Each trainee teacher needs to have completed the following:

– 120 hours of classroom training.
– 8 hours of assessed teaching practice to non-English Speakers
– 8 lesson plans and post lesson comments.
– One-to-one study and extended teaching plan based on an individual student´s
   learning requirements.
– A study on the learning requirements for a group lesson
– A study on the learning requirements for a one-to-one lesson.

b) Written work that demonstrates the following:

– Preparation of different materials and lesson planning.
– Student Evaluation and assessment.
– TEFL theories and methodologies.
– Understanding of learners´ needs and capacities.
